They were sentenced to death by the Russians on charges of fighting as mercenaries.

Fortunately, the British stayed with the citizens of the USA, Morocco, Sweden and Croatia set free. It happened as part of the prisoner exchange that took place on Wednesday. At that time, the released prisoners were transported to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, as Prince Mohammed bin Salman participated in the negotiations.

On board the plane, the released British had the opportunity to talk to Abramovich, who was recognized by Harding. Both gentlemen had the opportunity to discuss, inter alia, about football. It turns out that thanks to the assistant to the former owner of Chelsea, they found out that it was he who played a key role in their release.

Abramowicz was a mediator in April

In April, money.pl reported that Roman Abramowicz was a mediator between the Russian and Ukrainian sides to end the war as soon as possible. Though he is not a politician, he does not hold any official position in the Russian government, however, it was he who played the role of the liaison between Moscow and Kiev. As reported by money.pl, referring to the “Financial Times”, Abramovich made an appointment for a private meeting with Putin and presented strong arguments for ending the war. Vladimir Putin listened to him and personally anointed him as a mediator who participated in the peace talks.
