Medvedev referred to the words of the former commander of the US forces in Europe, General Ben Hodges. Gen. Hodges stated that if Russia uses tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the US does not have to respond to it with nuclear weapons, but may, for example, “destroy the Black Sea Fleet or Ukrainian bases in Crimea.”
Crimea is the territory that Russia has considered – since 2014 – to be part of the Russian Federation. The annexation of Crimea, however, is not recognized by the international community, which recognizes Crimea, which was annexed as a result of the 2014 pseudo-referendum, as part of the territory of Ukraine under the temporary occupation of Russia.
Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel that as a result of Vladimir Putin’s decision of September 21, 2022 (Putin announced a partial mobilization on that day) “there will be referenda as a result of which the republics of Donbass (the so-called Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics – ed.) and other territories will be admitted to Russia. ”
“The protection of the territories that will join will be significantly strengthened by the Russian Armed Forces,” added Medvedev.
The Western establishment and all citizens of NATO countries must understand that Russia has chosen its own path
Dmitry Medvedev, former president of Russia-
“Russia has announced that not only its mobilization capabilities, but also Russian weapons systems, including strategic nuclear weapons and modern weapons, can be used for such protection,” he stressed.
“Therefore, various retired idiots with general epaulettes do not have to scare us by talking about a NATO strike in Crimea. Hypersonic (missiles) are a guarantee that we will be able to reach targets in Europe and the USA much faster” – he concluded.
Medvedev also stated that “the Western establishment and all citizens of NATO countries must understand that Russia has chosen its own path.” “There is no way back,” he added.
