The meeting of the presidents of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary: Andrzej Duda, Petr Pavel, Zuzana Czaputova and Katalin Novak will take place on Wednesday at the Prague Castle in Prague.
V4 leaders will deliberate during a plenary session, and a working breakfast of presidents is also planned. At. A press conference will be held at 15.
As announced by the head of the Presidential Office of International Policy, Mieszko Pawlak, The topics of the meeting in the Czech capital will include: economic, infrastructure and social cooperation. The presidents will also discuss topics related to security policy.
The press department of the Chancellery of the Czech President informed that the Czech Republic perceives the Visegrad Group as a Central European platform for developing good-neighborly relations. Cooperation should be practical and focus on concrete benefits for the citizens of the four countries. The Czech Republic, which has chaired the Group since July this year, has adopted the slogan: “V4 for citizens” as its motto.

The presidents are to discuss projects financed by the Visegrad Fundwhich is, as emphasized, the only existing organizational structure of the V4.-
The aim of the fund is to contribute to strengthening interpersonal bonds through the development of cultural cooperation, scientific exchange, research and cooperation in the field of education. In addition to scholarship programs, the fund also finances the activities of non-governmental organizations. Created in 2000, the Fund currently has an annual budget of EUR 10 million.
The presidents are also to discuss modern and competitive projects that will enable the V4 countries to achieve economic growth and economic stability. In this respect, we are talking about: cross-border cooperation, infrastructure projects, e.g. high-speed railways, energy and raw material security.
The heads of the four countries will also discuss the impact of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine on Central Europe and support for the attacked country. They will also debate the situation in the Middle East and the enlargement of the European Union.
In addition to the V4 summit, the Czech presidency plans to organize a meeting of the prime ministers of the four countries as well as ministerial meetings, expert seminars and conferences.
