After months of beta testing, Asobo has finally released the long-awaited update from Sim Update 10 to Microsoft Flight Simulator. First of all, the files provide better performance – not only on PC, but also on the Xbox Series X | S.
Asobo has been working in recent months to optimize the code and performance in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Released yesterday evening Sim Update 10 (update 126.96.36.199) provides mainly improvements in this area. The developers boast in the published message on the official website that they have patched many problematic areas of the code and in general improved production performance on XSX / XSS and PC. Many people from the official Microsoft Flight Simulator forum confirm the positive news – the game runs much smoother, offering higher framerate, especially on the Xbox Series X | S. On the PC, in turn, was introduced NVIDIA DLSS support and DirectX 12 support
This is not the end of the news in Sim Update 10. Asobo took care of a new, a much better avionics system, thanks to cooperation with Working Title. The G1000 NXi avionics now replaces the default G1000 system in all aircraft in the game. The VFR map is also much better, as it contains detailed data about the selected airport (just click on the airport of interest to get accurate data, including the METAR message).
Asobo also improved some aspects of Microsoft Flight Simulator’s dynamic weather system in Sim Update 10. The game now simulates in Live weather mode gusts of wind and provides better implementation of low clouds. There have also been many bug fixes, including those that caused production to crash (a detailed description of the modifications can be found on the official website).-
We will receive it in November huge boost of free content in Microsoft Flight Simulator. As many as 9 new machines will fly into the game as part of the 40th Anniversary edition, which you can read more about here.
