A few days ago, we reported that NVIDIA had suspended the production of GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. This step prepares the ground for the premiere of refreshed models of Ada Lovelace cards with the note “Super”. If anyone is planning to buy one of the older cards, they should hurry up. There are many indications that NVIDIA’s partners do not have large stocks and models without the “Super” mark may soon disappear from the market.
NVIDIA partners do not have large stocks of GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The cards may be out of stock before the premiere of their refreshed variants.
NVIDIA has stopped the production of GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards. SUPER models coming soon?
The last units of the GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti were about to be shipped to partners. At this point, it is not certain whether this is the final end of the production of these units or just a temporary break. However, it is known that the lack of supplies means increasingly poor availability of cards based on these systems. The latest reports indicate that NVIDIA’s partners will exhaust their supplies by December at the latest, but the situation of the faster of the two GPUs currently seems more complicated.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 vs GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card test – It would be great if it weren’t for the prohibitive price
According to a post on Board Channels, NVIDIA did not deliver a significant number of GeForce RTX 4080 systems to partners in the fourth quarter of this year. As a result, inventories remain at a very low level. These may run out much sooner than GeForce RTX 4070 Ti supplies. In the most pessimistic scenario, this will happen this month. Of course, there is some time between the production of a graphics card and the moment it hits stores, so when NVIDIA’s partners run out of stock, it does not mean an immediate shortage of cards in stores. However, considering the holiday season, when sales of computer equipment always increase, it is not certain whether older cards will be widely available in stores until the release of their refreshed variants.
