CS:GO 2 seems to be only a matter of time, but no one still knows when the official announcement may take place. Valve is avoiding the answer as much as possible, but all signs indicate that the game will appear in the coming weeks. More and more evidence of this is found by Twitter user Aquarius, who informed about his latest discoveries.
First, there was information that key developers made their Steam profiles secret. According to Aquarius, this may mean that they publish promotional materials from CS: GO 2 there, which should not yet come to light. He wrote that this is a “big sign” and “we are getting closer to publishing the game”. Then there was information that Valve registered new trademarks for the name “Counter Strike”. They are directly related to CS:GO, which could mean the announcement of the second part of the game.

We didn’t have to wait long for further instructions. Valve has published a cryptic forum post that has been kept “hidden” until now. It may therefore be an announcement that will be discovered in due course. In addition, the developers are still making changes to the game’s code, which may indicate the ongoing work on CS: GO 2.
