– I believe that the players in both countries are exactly the same. In Zagłębie I saw a lot of talented boys with high ambitions. In Poland, however, there is a slightly different approach to management. You are looking at what will be in the next match, week, or month. And in the Netherlands, we make plans for the next two or three years – He said.

– I checked the Zagłębie squad recently and again in the summer a lot of players from abroad came. This makes it very difficult for young talents to get into the team. And from what I’ve noticed, it’s not just Zagłębie’s problem. Also Legia, Pogoń Szczecin, Wisła Kraków and others – added.

– This makes young players go abroad as teenagers, and the agents help them in this. Lots of players left the country and went to Germany, Italy and England. And then it turned out that the jump was too big for them. That is why I think that in Poland a plan should be created for young players so that they can stay longer in the country – stated.

The 49-year-old believes that there are few young Polish footballers who can make it in foreign clubs.

– There are few such “Zielińscy”. The truth is, unfortunately most of them are lost this way. Maybe even 15-20 players a year – he summed up.

Pronk is currently head of the youth department in Utrecht. In the past, he was also associated with Ajax, where he trained young players.
