For the first time since 1990, the World Cup will come to Lake Placid. This is a special place for ski jumping. Olympic competitions (1932 and 1980) were held at the MacKenzie Intervale Ski Jumping Complex in the past. In turn, in the years 1983-1990 the World Cup was held there. Last year, the facility underwent a thorough modernization.
The expansion of the Ski Jumping World Cup is important information for the entire discipline. In recent years, high-level competitions have been held outside of Europe only in the case of Olympic competitions.
