– I am a Catholic and sometimes it annoys that in Poland it is very often taken out. Who is not a Catholic in Poland? 99 percent people are Catholics. Even those who were communists quietly baptized. Today, however, I have some distance to the church, because there is something going on there all the time. I do not go to confession, but I do go to communion – admitted Zbigniew Boniek in an interview with Małgorzata Domagalik in the “Let them talk” program on the Sports Channel.

The journalist asked the former Polish national football team if it was possible to take communion without confessing.
