After Thursday’s inauguration of the volleyball season, it’s time for another meeting. This time it will take place in Sosnowiec, where Poles will face Germany again. How will Nikola Grbic’s players fare? Broadcast of the match between Poland and Germany in Polsat Sport and Polsat Box Go.

Each match of the Polish national team played in “Spodek” in Katowice has its own unique character. It was no different on Thursday, when the Biało-Czerwoni faced the German national team, led by Michał Winiarski. The amazing atmosphere was ensured not only by the volleyball players present on the court, but also by the best fans in the world.

Thursday’s game was preceded by another important event. It was another edition of the Volleyball Stars Alley, held since 2017 and commemorating outstanding figures from the volleyball world. This year, Aleksander Śliwka, Mateusz Bieniek, Bartosz Kwolek, Paweł Papke, Dorota Świeniewicz, and Małgorzata Glinka left their handprints in Katowice. In addition, a plaque with the logo was unveiled by the sponsor for years associated with Polish volleyball – the Plus network operator.

Friday’s match will be the last meeting of the Poles before the flight to Japan, where on June 6-11 they will play the first tournament in this year’s edition of the League of Nations. The set of Polish representatives will still not appear in Sosnowiec. There will be no players from Grupa Azoty ZAKSY Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Jastrzębski Węgiel, who will start training in Spała on June 5.
