Jude Bellingham is on the verge of a blockbuster move from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid. The finalization of the entire operation will take place shortly after the end of the Bundesliga season, reports “Marca”.
The transfer saga involving the England international is slowly coming to an end. This is evidenced by the information appearing in the media about the upcoming moment of announcing the fact of his acquisition by the “Royal”.
They had done a lot of work in recent months to convince him to their proposal, because he had much better options on the table.
However, he rejected all of them in favor of giving priority to Real Madrid, which carefully used the acquired negotiating position to work out any agreements.
The journalists of “Marki” believe that their essential part has already been properly closed thanks to the fruitful meeting of the capital club’s envoys with the authorities of Borussia Dortmund.
During it, they tried to further reduce the transfer fee by including one of their players in the whole operation. The team from Signal Iduna Park categorically rejected this option and in the end the transfer of Jude Bellingham stood at €100 million with a number of bonuses that could raise the final transaction amount to at least €120-130 million.
The interested party has already established the terms of cooperation with the “Royal” for some time. He has a six-year contract to sign with a guaranteed salary of €10 million net per season.-
He could count on collecting a similar amount in the event of a new contract with BVB. In turn, other European clubs offered him better money.
The nearly 20-year-old midfielder, however, decided that Real Madrid would be the best choice for him, where he intends to gradually build his position in the hierarchy, where he will initially be on the second pay level.
After the end of the season in the Bundesliga, the last details should be settled, including the submission of a fixed offer and medical tests, and then the announcement of a hit transfer involving the England representative.
Bellingham joined Borussia Dortmund for €25m from Birmingham City in July 2020.
In the campaign that could end with the German championship coming to an end, he scored 14 goals and recorded seven assists in 42 matches.
