In the penultimate round of the Fortuna I league, we can meet both newcomers of PKO Ekstraklasa, as well as the last relegated to the eWinner II league. Decisions can be made from Friday to Monday.
On Friday, Arka Gdynia will host ŁKS, and since the inhabitants of Łódź have a five-point advantage over Wisła Kraków, third in the table, and a favorable balance of direct matches, a draw is enough for them to be promoted to PKO Ekstraklasa.
ŁKS had a mathematical chance to enter the elite in the previous round. However, it was not possible to start the celebration at home. Kazimierz Moskal’s charges rose to the occasion and won 2:1 with Resovia, but the other results were not favorable for them. The Knights of Spring have taken the next step towards promotion and can stamp it in Gdynia.
– There is always a good time to break the impotence in Gdynia. We’re going there to win, not to draw. We are all aware that the league is coming to an end and we want to put “dot over i” in the match against the Ark. However, we are aware that it will be difficult because the opponent has high aspirations and wants to make it to the play-offs. I expect a fierce match – says coach Kazimierz Moskal at a press conference.

Ruch Chorzow can also be promoted in the next round. Blue’s situation is more complicated. Their advantage over Wisła Kraków is two points and they have a favorable balance of head-to-head matches. This means that Ruch will advance if they win the away match against GKS Katowice, and Wisła Kraków does not win against Zagłębie Sosnowiec at home. In the event of a tie for Chorzów, the fourth Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza and the fifth Puszcza Niepołomice will participate in the accounts.
Konfrontacja Ruch in Katowice is not only a game for promotion, but also a prestigious derby. In the autumn round, the newly promoted team won 1:0 with the charges of Rafał Górak thanks to Artur Pląskowski’s shot. GKS has the opportunity to take revenge on Bukowa and improve the unfavorable impression at the end of the spring round. A full audience is expected in the stands.
On Sunday, Odra Opole will play the already demoted Chojniczanka. They need a minimum of a draw to maintain and if they score, they will drop Skra Częstochowa to the eWinner II league. Odra did well in the spring round, and Chojniczanka is the only first-league player who did not bring a complete set of points from a single away match.
If Odra stumbles, Monday’s confrontation between Skra Częstochowa and Puszcza Niepołomice will be of great importance. The hosts got a conditional permission to play matches in Częstochowa, which did not help in scoring. Puszcza remains a candidate for promotion to PKO Ekstraklasa and has already secured a minimum participation in the play-offs. They will host the semi-finals if they overtake at least one opponent in the table.
