Everything is clear now. They will fight for the medals of the world championships

Only four teams remain in the game for the medals of the world elite hockey championships. The decisive matches will take place on Saturday and Sunday in Tampere, Finland.

The quarter-finals were played on Thursday and there were some surprises. The teams of Germany (more here) and Latvia (more here) were in the medal phase, which successfully competed in Riga. They were joined by teams from Canada and the USA, who won their matches in Tampere.

We already know the semi-final pairings. Both matches will take place on Saturday at the Nokia Arena. At the ice rink in Tampere, Canada and Latvia will play first (at 13:20 Polish time). Then, at At 17:20 Polish time, the USA and Germany will compete.

The semi-finals have clear favourites. These are two representations from the American continent. In the group stage, the Canadians defeated the Latvians 6:0. The Americans defeated the Germans 3-2.

The two winning teams will meet in Sunday’s World Cup final, which will start at 19:20 Polish time. The teams defeated in the semi-finals will play at 14:20 our time for bronze medals.
