Wojciech Bojanowski, reporter of “Fakty” TVN, became the winner of the Telekamery Tele Tygodnia 2023 plebiscite in the Information/journalism category. In the same category, the second place was taken by Konrad Piasecki, the host of the TVN24 programs “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” and “Kawa na Ława”, and the third place was taken by Diana Rudnik, the presenter of “Fakty” TVN and TVN24. “Skazana” (TVN and Player) was awarded in the Serial category.

Telekamery Tele Tygodnia is one of the most prestigious television awards in Poland.

Journalists from TVN and TVN24 were appreciated at the Thursday gala. They took the podium in the Information/journalism category.

– This is a beautiful and unique profession. This is a profession that is difficult to perform, if somehow the heart does not tell you that you need to talk about it and you need to talk about these things – said Wojciech Bojanowski after receiving the statuette.

The reporter reminded that since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, more than 40 journalists and 500 children have been killed in this country. – We are talking about difficult matters that you would not like to see, which you would not like to read about, but we are strongly convinced that it is worth breaking away from the daily rush and thinking about what is happening around us – he stressed.

Wojciech Bojanowski also appealed to “take care of your loved ones”. “To take care of the people who are waiting for you,” he added.

Bojanowski said in an interview with TVN24 that he was very pleased with the award and was surprised by it. – When I think that when I came to work 18 years ago with my bulging eyes, in an oversized jacket, it was somehow not very promising. So I decided to be a reporter. It can be difficult at times, but it can also be beautiful,” he said.

– I have viewers in the back of my mind, I have in the back of my mind – wherever I am – who I’m doing it for and why I’m doing it. I’m glad that on TVN24, I’m glad that we can tell the truth in “Fakty”. We can say what’s going on. However difficult it may be at times, however much someone may not like it, we do it with great conviction and with great faith that it is worth it – added the winner of Telekamery Tele Tygodnia 2023.

Bojanowski talked about the specificity of reporter work. – This is a beautiful profession where you can be in a place where the attention of the whole world is focused from time to time. This involves a lot of responsibility that “here I am, for a moment, the guy who will show a part of this reality. I don’t know if the part that I decide to direct the camera at in my material or in some of my stories is the right one On such trips, I don’t have too many doubts, because I feel that something important is happening all the time and it just needs to be reported, “he said. He also thanked “all the people who believed in him along the way.” that in the flood of information “it is worth paying attention to important things that shape our lives or in some short perspective will shape them.” – But it is also worth paying attention to what moves us. When I think about the topics I dealt with, these topics that also touched my heart, and if I felt something, I tried to do everything in my power to give the audience a chance to feel it too, to some extent, he added.

– Of course, it’s an extremely nice situation when a person gets a nomination and then is close to the main prize – said Konrad Piasecki, who pointed out that Diana Rudnik was in third place. – This is a moment of satisfaction, also showing the place of TVN24 in the heads of the chapter, that when it comes to information, when it comes to journalism, we are absolutely the number one station – he added.

Konrad Piasecki said that his “Kawa na Ława” program is a phenomenon. – On a Sunday morning, more than a million people sit in front of the television sets. This is for many viewers – he assessed and emphasized that “Coffee on the Bench” is a very important program that gives viewers the opportunity to clarify their views and take a position on the most important events of the past week.

– It is a great satisfaction, but also a great challenge to make a program on the basis of which many people crystallize their political view, view of reality, view of the events of the last week – he added.
