Arkadiusz Reca came to the September training camp full of hope. Last time he played for the national team in March against Scotland (1: 1). He could not count the performance in Glasgow as successful. It was the footballer of Spezia Calcio who was most criticized after this match. In the play-off match with Sweden (2: 0) he did not play anymore, and in June he missed the training camp due to an injury.
Kamil Grosicki was one of the most active footballers on Friday’s classes:
The September matches were to give an answer if Reca would be able to compete for a place in the first squad at the World Cup. Czesław Michniewicz prepared him a place in the starting line-up for Thursday’s match with the Netherlands. Spezia’s footballer, however, felt pain after Tuesday’s classes and was not in the squad for this match. On Friday it turned out that he would not play against Wales as well. The 27-year-old has already left the grouping of the Polish national team.
Paweł Dawidowicz took part in Friday’s training. He also missed the Wednesday class and watched the Thursday match from the stands. The day after the defeat with the Netherlands, there were no reasons why he should go onto the pitch.
In addition to him, 13 other players appeared on the training field of Legia Warszawa. From among the players playing against the Netherlands, only Bartosz Bereszyński came in, who came in the end. The rest usually stayed at the hotel for post-game recovery training.
Three of our players are waiting for additional treatments. After the match against the Netherlands, Karol Linetty, Wojciech Szczęsny and Sebastian Szymański are battered. Especially the Juventus goalkeeper felt the rivalry against Oranje. After a fight with Wout Weghorst, his forearm is injured. If he could not play in Cardiff, Łukasz Skorupski will appear between the posts.
Mateusz Łęgowski, on the other hand, left the group. The Pogoń Szczecin footballer – as previously agreed – joined the ranks of the youth team that will play with Greece and Latvia.
His eyesight deteriorated overnight. First in one eye. Activities in the hall, a ball hit in the face and Michał Globisz was in the hospital. Later, visibility in the other eye faded. Nevertheless, the deserved youth coach and educator can still be found in the stands of the stadium in Gdynia – he comes to the matches and his friends tell him what is happening on the pitch. In “X-ray”, the guardian of the gold medalists of the European Championships from years ago talks about learning a new life and setting the head at such an angle that the number of an oncoming trolleybus can be seen at the stop.
