Temporary arrest for possession of 6.7 kg of marijuana

A court in Kłodzko in Lower Silesia temporarily arrested a man suspected of possessing significant amounts of drugs for three months. In his house, the police found 6.7 kg of marijuana. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Lower Silesian police announced on Tuesday that officers from the Police Station in Polanica-Zdrój, as a result of intensive operational activities, detained a 42-year-old resident of the Kłodzko district, who, according to the police, allegedly possessed drugs.

“During a search of the detainee’s utility rooms, the police discovered and seized significant amounts of dried hemp other than fibrous hemp. The 42-year-old had narcotic substances spread on the floor. Some of them were packed in plastic bags, and some were just drying. A quantity of marijuana was placed in the police depository. over 6.7 kg,” said the policeman.

The collected evidence allowed the 42-year-old to be charged with possession of a significant amount of dried hemp other than fiber.

At the request of investigators and the prosecutor, the court decided to temporarily arrest the man for three months. For this crime, the suspect may spend up to 10 years in prison.
