Poland will receive over EUR 5 billion in advances from the KPO
Today, the European Commission issued a positive opinion on the amended KPO. This concerns additional loans worth EUR 23 billion, which Poland applied for on March 31, and an additional EUR 2.76 billion in subsidies from REPowerEU, which were programmed in the amended KPO sent to the EC on August 31. The advance payments that Poland will soon receive are 20 percent. this amount, i.e. over EUR 5 billion.
The payment of these funds is primarily the result of many months of work and very effective actions of officials of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy
– emphasizes Grzegorz Puda, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy.-
After the revision, the KPO budget will increase to EUR 59.82 billion (PLN 261.4 billion), including EUR 25.28 billion (PLN 110.4 billion) in the form of subsidies and EUR 34.5 billion (PLN 151 billion) in the form of preferential loans. The payment of over EUR 5 billion in advances does not depend on Poland meeting any milestones.
