A warning against icy roads and sidewalks was issued on Tuesday for the Lublin Voivodeship by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management. The temperature in the southern part of the region may drop to minus 6 degrees Celsius.

“The wet surface of roads and sidewalks is forecast to freeze after rainfall and sleet, causing their icing,” the IMWM said in a statement.

The temperature at night will range from minus 6 to minus 4 degrees Celsius. As added, the locally negative air temperature will also remain during the day on Wednesday.

A first degree warning against icing will be in force in the southern part of the Lublin region from 4 p.m. on Tuesday until 9 on Wednesday.

IMWM also reported that on Tuesday at noon, freezing drizzle or wet snow is observed in the region, which may freeze and cause slippery road surfaces and sidewalks. “In the coming hours, the zone of freezing drizzle will gradually move to the southeast, and its place will be replaced by snowfall” – it was described.
