As part of the public food alert, the GIS said it was informed via Early Warning System for Unsafe Food and Feed (RASFF) of finding high content 3-monochloropropanediol esters (3-MCPD) and glycidyl esters of fatty acids in certain batches of cookies unicorn wheels 220 g, brand Aldiva, available in the TEDi chain of stores.
The recommendations stated that the product specified in the communication should not be consumed.
Fatty acid esters are substances genotoxic and carcinogenic. GIS points out that, given that the product is intended for children, the consumption of the product by this group of consumers is associated with significant health risks.
