This time the meeting in the Lublin library was not with a scientist, but with a writer, the author of a completely different book, very personal, biographical, written lightly, like a good novel. Prof. Józef Zając in the beautifully published book “Where chestnuts bloom” tells the story of several generations of his family. Her fate is presented against the backdrop of historical events and cultural and moral changes. With conversational lightness, she describes her own feelings and impressions from her childhood and teenage years, and at the same time she paints a picture of the behavior of people around her, children, teenagers and adults.
