“The Queen loves animals and absolutely loves dogs. It has always been like that. They were her first love and will be her last,” Ingrid Seward told Newsweek. And it’s true Queen Elizabeth II for the love of her dogs, she was ready to sacrifice a lot!

Candy, the female dog, stayed with the queen the longest when she was in poor health and worse. The Queen has experienced two painful losses over the past two years. In 2020, Vulcan passed away, and in the summer of 2022, Candy died at the age of 18. And it was for her that Elizabeth decided to break the royal tradition.

Queen Elizabeth II ordered that Candy’s remains be transported to London. Vulcan was buried in Windsor, and the monarch very much wanted the dogs to be together, and she could visit them often.

Thus, the queen broke the tradition of burying the dog in the place where he died. Elizabeth’s dog graves are located at Windsor, Sandringham and Balmoral.

The monarch decided to stop taking care of corgi in mid-2010 because, according to The Telegraph, she did not want to leave a dog after her death.

However, in 2021, she received two puppies from her son, Andrzej. One shortly before the death of Prince Philip and the other after his death, on the hundredth anniversary of Philip’s birth.

Exactly that two corgi, Sandy and Muick, were seen on Monday September 19 during the funeral procession to Windsor Castle. The dogs will be taken care of by Prince Andrzej, who gave his mother puppies.

Buckingham Palace announced the death of Queen Elizabeth September 8, 2022 at the age of 96. After 70 years of rule, she was the longest reigning British monarch.

The news of the death of Queen Elizabeth is linked to another historic moment: her eldest son immediately succeeded her, 73-year-old Prince Charles, who would now be King Charles III.

Charles’ firstborn son, Prince William (40), is now next in line to the most famous throne in the world, followed by his firstborn son, Prince George (9).
