As reported by Redanian Intelligence, a reliable source dealing with The Witcher, Andrzej Sapkowski revealed important information about his upcoming book. At the Comic Con festival in Vienna, the writer raised the issue of the plot and gave an approximate release date.
The new Witcher – when will the book be released?
Andrzej Sapkowski revealed that the yet untitled novel from the world of The Witcher will appear in Poland within a year. So this means that The premiere is planned for the end of 2024. However, a few months later, i.e. at the beginning of 2025, the title will be released in other countries around the world.
The new Witcher – what is the story about?
This is how Andrzej Sapkowski commented on his plans:
– They made a series based on one of the stories. Then they forced me to write its sequel. I’m not complaining. Thanks to this, I have money for rent.
-The problem is that there has been no series adapted from one story by Andrzej Sapkowski. There was probably a mistake. However, we know that an anime film was made The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep based on the short story titled A little sacrifice. Internet users speculate that it may be a continuation of this story (especially since the anime will appear at the end of 2024), but this is not certain. One fact remains: the book is a continuation of one of the stories that Netflix was interested in.
A few years ago, Andrzej Sapkowski said that if he wrote a new story set in the world of The Witcher, it would not be a continuation of the book saga, but a prequel or some side story.
